A Night without a Movie-II

Trivandrum

'Hey whats up dude? aren't you coming for playing?' I asked Ashwin, A wheatish brown complexed boy. I know him from the moment I moved to Thiruvanathapuram after my father's transfer. We lived in a small house near karamana river.I could see the river from my home. Ashwin and Hari are my close friends and they both live in next street to mine.

'Yah! Where is Hari? He has gone some where I think' Ashwin spoke while scrapping someone in orkut. That time orkut was the only social networking site known to us.

'Let me call him'

I phoned Hari. We got our own cellphones as a present from parents because of good score in 10th. My friends also got best score but among them I topped.

'dai, Evida?(Where are you?)'

'Coming soon dude. There is a chick in our county'

'What? where?'

'I told you nah! My uncle's flat, which was for rent, is now occupied'

Hari once told me about his uncle's flat and we three together tried to rent it to someone for some commission which could make us some pocket money.

'We will be there soon man'.

'No need I will manage my own.' He told me in funny voice and hung the phone.

'Dude a chick next door' I made a try to make Ashwin divert from scrapping and that worked.

'Where?'

'In Hari's uncle's flat'

'Nice. Lets go'

We cycled to next street and took some risky moves and even just missed a ramming with our milk boy's M80 scooter. Hari was standing there in front of the building.

'Do you need some help?' I asked Hari while parking my bicycle in the center of the road.

'Who is the chick?' Ashwin asked with anxiety.

'Thats my father's friend's daughter.'

'What's her name?' I am also having the same excitement like that of Ashwin's.

'No need to know. She is the most beautiful girl I ever saw.'

'Then where is she?'

'Ah lets go and take the playing materials. Ashwin go and take the bat and I will fetch the ball. The stumps are safe up the terrace. manu go and seek it.'

'Done dude' We both said in unison to Hari's commands.

I looked at door of flat 7c where I could see the living room. I couldn't see the trace of any human but could see only well furnished room.

'Manu are you gone there to make the stumps or to fetch it?'

'Coming Ash' I shouted to answer Ashwin.

While I were running down I didn't see a man walk of a flat. He collided with me so hard that he also fell down.

'Ouch! ah' I were crying I broke my hand while falling down.

'What happened son? Are you hurt?' The grown up man asked while trying to stand up. I couldn't stand up because my angle was twisted and my hand was broken due to falling on pointed edge of the steps. He took me in his hands and put me slowly in the sofa. That time a girl came from the kitchen and asked.

'What happened papa. Who is this boy?'

'I don't know him. What is your name, son?' He told while trying to make some calls.

'Manu where are you? stupid' Ashwin were searching me. I thought I should shout for him but I couldn't because of the pain.

'Is your name, Manu? Are those your friends looking for you? Anjana I rammed this boy while I stepped out.'

Anjana. She is as beautiful as the name is. This was our first time I saw her. The pain and everything just happened around became mute to me and I thought only about Anjana. Her pink churithar and suiting earrings made my mind fly high. Within seconds Anjana's father found that I am fainted. He called an ambulance.

Anjana with her father often came to visit me While I was at the hospital. After a week they discharged me and told not to move my right hand. How could a 15 year old boy could do nothing even though his hand is broken? But my thoughts were about Anjana.

'You sleepy head. What are you dreaming of?' Ashwin came into the room after firing a question.

A night without a movie - I

'Sir, the stocks are down. We have to do some thing' - Vasudev, chief stock analyst is telling me about the last weeks analysis.

'Let us introduce a new product which make us stand still in the market. What about a new and trendy operating system which is far better than android?' I had a solution for every crisis.

'Sir, it is a good idea but we have to increase the reach of our current products too. sir can I go now?'

Vasudev left my room. I looked at my designation board. It said 'Manu Prasad (CEO Nexgen corp.)'. Yah I am Manu Prasad. Son of Prasad and Kalyani born in a south Indian district 'Palakkad' who were struggling to earn their living in the midst of teaching me. I studied till my 10th in a village school in ottapalam and then came my life most riskiest moments. From here my life took its terrible turns from love to lost and terrific days became part of my living. My father came from an aristocrat family so that he owned so much revenue. Till my 10th I had least friends.

Suddenly my office phone began to rang. I took the call.

'Hello'

'Hello is this Mr. Manu Prasad?'

'Yah'

' I am calling from Google. Myself Raj Mohan, Sir. Your payment for project 'elixir' was remitted to your bank account in ICICI bank sir. The amount paid is 1.35 Cr'

'Thank you my friend for acknowledging the payment.'

'Thank you sir. Have a good day.'

'Sir your car has arrived.' Ganesh anna told me while I hung the phone. Ganesh is my peon. But I call him 'anna'  because he had a large experience in life than anyone in my corporate. I took staircase from the office which is in the 8th floor of the building to ground because sometimes I feel myself a communist that the energy I use in my lift could make glow 10 bulbs in a rural village. This is what make me love myself. While I reached the ground the security of the building is holding the key of my car. It is almost 6 in the evening and it is raining. I took the key from the security and I didn't know his name because he is a new joint in the firm. My car took a swish turning and entered the NH. Now I am travelling back home in Trivandrum. Before that I have to pick my best friends from two branches of my firm too. They are my best friends and my parts of my life. When I reached the front of Vrindavan gardens Hari was waiting for me. Then he took the driving seat by just telling me he will drive and not another word. Then the rain made me think my past. My life till I made all this.

Car zoomed through the highway and My memories began.

A night without a movie - Preface

I, Vivek and Sreeni planed for a movie named 'da thadiya'. It was the day before christmas and the story of a life began there. This story is what i am going to tell you in a flow of words. I were riding my honda shine and he his Activa. We dashed to the kalabhavan theatre, but there hung the housefull board. Vivek were riding with me. We took the vehicles and increased the speed to get tickets from kairali because it is just 3 mins from kalabhavan. I thought Sreeni was also racing because not to late for the movie and it is almost 9'o clock night. I merely missed a collision with a santro car while I tried to overtake Sreeni. But he directly came back to home. Vivek bought the tickets and we together waited for Sreeni. But he didn't arrive. So I phoned him.

'Where are you dude?'

'I reached home. Where are you fucking now?' Replied Sreeni with an irritating voice.

'Dude we took the tickets here at kairali. Are you coming or not?'

'Sell my ticket and you both enjoy the movie'

'What! are you mad?'

'No dude. I am least interested in riding back for the movie.'

I thought that night was not a good one for me because i missed the movie. But the truth was different. We took ride back to home after a long struggle to sell the tickets and at last we sold it.

'What ass in the fucking world made your interest down while we risked our life's to get the tickets?' i asked Sreeni with my lost temper.

'I asked to sell my ticket and why did you guys didn't enjoy the movie.'

'Because we are not interested in execute the plan without the planner is there. Lets go to shangumukham.' Said Vivek suddenly.

Shangumukham is a beach nearer to the Trivandrum city. It is just 5 kilometers away from our home. We usually hangout there whenever we have a change in mood. It may be stressed or happy or anything we will have a reason to go there. We even worlds scariest topics from creation of something from nothing to string theory there. Our favourite subjects ranges from science and politics to girls! We all are admirers of arts and sports. Our tastes were different but we were bonded with one thing friendship. Sreeni loves classical music and classical dance form and some times i thought he should have born in early 50's. But god has a uniqueness in his creations. Another thing we three are interested in is knowledge. We are interested in anything below and above the sky from Isadora, creator of modern dance, to Steve Jobs and Alexander Turin founders of Apple and modern computers. We love pyramid to Madhura Meenakshi temple. These all come under our discussion while enjoy the night beauty of sky mating the sea.

'Start the vehicle dude. Are you day dreaming?' Sreeni tried to wake up from my thoughts about losing the movie.

'Dude I need more Petrol. Bike is going to stop in midway.' Since am an engineering student i don't have any money because my parents are least interested in giving me pocket money.

'I will pay for it dude. Come on lets have a feast for the birth of Jesus too.' Vivek insisted me to go and kick started my story.

We had our food from a local food shop which we call the shop as 'tattukada'. After food we rode to the petrol outlet at pattor. On the way I asked Vivek and Sreeni- 'Guys what about smashing a story?'.

'Come on dude. It is the spirit let us kick start it.'

The Start switch in my bike made a reason to commencement of a story.....

Mind and God

Man’s discovery of God ceases to be a discovery if he begins this search with a foregone conclusion in his mind. Most religions impose a certain image of the type of God they would want their followers to worship. Whereas to mind, in the search for truth, which to me is the search for God, the choice does not rest with us as to what to reject or accept.
Truth, God, call it what you will, is an awareness of the totality of existence, of our hopes and desires, our ambitions, our greed, our loves and thousands of other emotions which constitute what passes for the living individual. I believe organized religions stand in the way of this awareness of the totality of existence.
Mind has its own place, a unique place in our lives. Without the use of your mind you won’t be able to find your way back home, and I won’t be able to conduct this conversation without its help. But mind can only move in the sphere of the known, in the sphere of time. Whereas we refer to God as the unknown the timeless, is it not ? Till a certain stage, in the three dimensions world, our mind can serve us to our advantage. But to reach the fourth dimension of existence, the mind instead of moving along the horizontal plane, must learn to shoot up vertically as it were and explode for the timeless, for the unknown to be.
Man being free, is wholly responsible to himself, unguided by any plan, by any spiritual authority, by any divine dispensation whatsoever. As he is free, he is, by that very freedom, limited. If you were not free, you would have a different world from that which exists at present. As the will in everyone is free, it is limited, and because the self is small, without determination or purpose at the beginning, it chooses, it discriminates, has its likes and has its dislikes. In the removal of that limitation, which is self-imposed on the self, lies the glory of the fulfillment of the self, the freedom of the self.
This attainment is not brought about by ecstasy, nor does it lie in the abandoning of oneself to works or to prayer, or in the blind following of another, or in immolation of oneself to a cause. Because the “I”, the self, is in process of achieving, it is creating barriers between itself and its fulfillment, by its eagerness, its struggles, through fear, through innumerable complications. To remove these barriers of limitation, you need constant awareness, constant watchfulness, constant self-reflection, which must be imposed on yourself, never by another. But if you discipline yourself unconsciously, without knowing where you are going, that self-discipline itself becomes a barrier. Understand the purpose of life, and from that very understanding will arise self-discipline. Self-discipline must be born out of the love of Life-vast, immeasurable, whole, unconditioned, limitless, to which all humanity belongs. Because you love that freedom which is absolute, which is Truth itself, which is harmony; by the very force of that love, your self-discipline will make you incorruptible; so you must nourish that love. The incorruptibility of the self is the perfection of life.
Till man is made incorruptible by himself, he will know no happiness, he will be held in the bondage of friendship and the fear of loneliness. The weariness of strife will still hold him. Men must be created who are great in the serenity of harmony. Such men must be born in you. Such men must give rise to new transformations, must become a flame to burn away the dross danger to all unessential, childish things.
